Spanish easier for English speaking people

Because of its Latin roots, a nearly identical alphabet and pronunciation rule, Spanish is one of the easiest languages for an English speaker like me to learn. Since Spanish is also a Latin language, you will find as you study Spanish that you have a better understanding of your native vocabulary. Similarly, both Spanish and English share Indo-European roots, so their grammars are similar.

I couldn’t find a more effective way to learn English grammar than by studying the grammar of Spanish, for the study forced me to think about how English is structured. And while mastering the grammar of Spanish can be a challenge, basic grammar is straightforward enough that you can have meaningful communication after only a few lessons. If you know English and Spanish you will be able to speak to more than half the population of the world!

Spanish - A world language

Spanish (español or Castilian (castellano), a Romance language originally from the northern area of Spain is one of the official languages of Spain, most Latin American countries and Equatorial Guinea. In total, 21 nations use Spanish as their primary language. Spanish is also one of the official languages of the United Nations, European Union, GATT and many other international organizations. Spanish itself also has distinct dialects around the country, with the Andaluz dialect being closer to the Spanish of the Americas, which it heavily influenced. Over 450 million people speak Spanish making it one of the largest markets for businesses and one of the most useful languages in the world for travel.

Times have changed as more and more native English speakers are making the move to learn another language. Economic globalization has been the big push behind the increasing importance of being able to communicate with those from other countries. In order to stay competitive in our economically driven world it is imperative to know more about other cultures and how they think. It gives an edge over your competitors to expand your customer base in other countries. You also provide a channel to communicate with both English and Spanish speaking clients.
